World Bioenergy Association: 

World Bioenergy Association is a member-based NGO located in Stockholm, Sweden. Established in 2008, WBA is currently one of the largest global networks of bioenergy stakeholders. WBA’s mission is to promote the sustainable development of bioenergy on a global level. Current members include companies, research organizations, national/regional associations, and individuals across the entire biomass-to-energy value chain. 

WBA is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about contributing to our mission of promoting sustainable bioenergy worldwide. 

  

Responsibilities as a White Paper Intern: 

The candidate is expected to help develop and prepare a comprehensive white paper focused on current bioenergy trends, technologies, and policy implications. This includes being responsible for the following tasks: 

  • Conducting extensive literature reviews and compiling relevant research materials on bioenergy. 
  • Analyzing data and research findings to support the white paper’s content and recommendations. 
  • Drafting, editing, and formatting sections of the white paper to ensure clarity and coherence. 
  • Engaging in regular communication and check-ins with the intern supervisor to monitor progress and receive guidance. 
  • Documenting all sources, references, and data used in the white paper to ensure academic rigor and transparency. 
  • Collaborating with other interns or team members to gather input and feedback on the project. 
  • Presenting draft sections of the white paper to stakeholders and incorporating their feedback. 

   

Educational Background: 

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related field. 

  

Qualifications: 

  • Strong technical and scientific writing skills. 
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive literature reviews. 
  • Good understanding of bioenergy and renewable energy technologies. 
  • Experience in data collection and analysis. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
