Ocean Infinity is seeking a Survey Advisor who maintains daily logistics for the survey operations. Supports the project manager and offshore team in ongoing and upcoming projects. Focuses on the operational parts of the survey.
Description and Main Purpose of the Job
What will you do:
Act as advisor for Senior surveyors, Project managers and Tender managers and be a part of the project teams;
Project support – Support the offshore teams and vessels;
Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues;
Provide support within the organisation;
Handle contact with software and hardware manufacturers;
Monitor, measure, and report on HSE issues;
Prepare MAC documents;
If assigned to, take part in specific survey projects and operational tasks;
Be involved in preparing mobilisations;
Develop survey setup and survey methods;
Regularly evaluate hardware and software for any new developments and implementation;
Oversee the implementation of new chosen hardware or software developments;
Continuous communication with Senior surveyors offshore;
Responsible for the training of the online team;
Identify when knowledge is generally lacking and help arrange training from suppliers.
Who you are:
At least 7 years’ experience of offshore operations or more;
Understanding of offshore survey operations, technological developments in remote work;
Good practical experience with office tools: MS Office, Google Drive, Teams, e-mail, among others;
Interested in others and strives to act in the best interests of the team;
Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with diplomacy;
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;
Strong leadership skills;
Strong interpersonal and people management skills;
Strong communication skills;
Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company’s purpose;
Open and receptive to new and different ideas;
Ability to work well in a team and independently;
Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet.
Desirable:
Experience as Offshore Manager or Senior Surveyor with strong technical skills
