The recently established Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) function will further accelerate SEBs deployment of advanced financial crime prevention capabilities to continuously meet regulatory expectations and to become a leader in fighting financial crime. We are currently looking for a Strategic Intelligence Analyst to join the team as part of this effort.
About the job
The Group Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) within FCP is looking for a Strategic Intelligence Analyst that will help in assessment of macro level emerging and evolving financial crime threats/risks and its impact across industries, sectors, or specific business units. The role will require to discover, identify and report regularly on significant financial crime threats and risks to businesses and customers, and also to coordinate with other FCP functions, internal/external financial crime risk forums and communities to promote awareness of financial crime risk and support in developing controls and/or detection and mitigation exercises.
The role holder will be required to maintain, develop and continuously evaluate financial crime threats and develop intelligence products/reports to increase effectiveness and timeliness of creating actionable threat assessments. The role will involve close coordination with data science and analytics function, hence awareness and understanding of the financial institutions’ external and internal data sources and its utilization for financial crime prevention is highly desirable.
Who are you?
The role holder needs to be a self-starter and able to drive engagements in a collaborative and communicative way ensuring accurate reflection and appreciation of highlighted risks/concerns to support collaborative effort across multiple stakeholders across SEB. The role holder needs to have experience of driving intelligence led initiatives ideally in a multi business and geographical environment with an understanding of various financial crime schemes and typologies, and other geopolitical aspects supporting them. The role will require the holder to be able to deliver initiatives in an agile manner, leveraging the domain and tribe structures, and overcoming complexities and dependencies within the individual projects and across multiple portfolios. We believe a suitable candidate should have:
- Academic degree in Finance, Business, Law, IT, or equivalent
- Experience in working within financial crime prevention area.
- Exposure to research and intelligence gathering process and techniques.
- Working knowledge of structuring large amounts of data/information and various analytical methodological approaches for financial crime prevention will be a advantage
- Strong track record of development, production and presentation of reports that are of strategic and/or operational importance.
- Skills to lead, collaborate, and influence key stakeholders towards a common vision
- Support in driving global transformations across different geographies, business lines, and support teams
Fluency in English written and spoken is a prerequisite and knowledge of Swedish, or other Nordic languages, is meriting.
