The Strategic Innovation Leader for Cytiva is responsible for ensuring a high value pipeline of innovation in Resins and Technologies Business Unit. As Strategic Innovation leader you are expected to monitor relevant external trends in technology and IP. You will part of identifying and evaluating technical opportunities inorganic as well as organic. You will work in a cross functional environment to identify requirements for enablement, and secure deployment including monitoring and reporting. You will be leading the Business Unit Strategic Innovation Reviews (buSIR) and be the owner of the business units Innovation Bridge. Additionally, you will leverage the Bright Idea system, contributing to its development and utilization.

Although you are employed within the Resins and Technologies Business Unit, collaboration will be essential. You will work closely with colleagues across the BioProcess OpCo and other Cytiva OpCos.

This position is part of the Resins and Technologies Strategic Runways team located in Uppsala, Sweden. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the Business Units Strategic Innovation Reviews

• Own the Strategic Innovation Bridge

• Contribute to the development of technology roadmap with R&D team

• Lead cross functional teams to answer critical strategic questions

• Ensure connection and alignment with other OpCo leads to align innovation plans

• Own the strategic landscaping for technology and innovation

• Be the keeper and evolver of the Bright Idea system

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Academic background MSc/PhD in relevant technical/application field

• Deep understanding of chromatography in Process Development and BioProcess applications (min 5 years professional experience)

• Experience from leading cross functional projects

• Proficient in financial analysis and modelling (MBA or similar experience is preferred)

• Proficient in English with excellent communication skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• People leader experience

• DBS P2P, F2P or DDV CP

• Strategy work (planning, analysis, project leading, business development, etc)

• Proficient in Swedish
