About the Role

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing Harman’s automotive business to meet customer specific targets. You will engage with the customers in an early stage to create business opportunities and drive these opportunities with healthy commercials to award.

What You Will Do

  • Execute the pursuit strategy for new business opportunities in alignment with the customer account strategy.
  • Identify and create new pursuits and drive early engagements
  • Own RFI/RFQ response for new business opportunities and be responsible for the quote as well as for the technical and commercial sourcing negotiations with the customer
  • Create game-changing unique selling proposition and value statements
  • Understand customer expectations cost, requirements, timing) and define internal targets to meet them
  • Identify key stakeholders and decision makers and develop strategies to win new business
  • Identify and develop partnerships. E.g. audio brand partnerships, technology partnerships, etc
  • Drive internal activities to develop and demonstrate Proof-of-Concepts etc. together with the Harman SBU, EPIC and Huemen teams.
  • What You Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Sales experience and understanding
  • Understanding of P&L statements, business cases and quotes / contracts
  • Negotiation skills
  • Experience in defining and executing a strategy
  • Understanding of Automotive OEM’s organization and processes
  • Experience within or working with applicable customers
  • Being able to engage with different levels of customer organizations – E.g. engineering level to executive management level.
  • Enjoy to present ideas, presentations, opportunities, etc to internal and customer teams regardless of hierarchy levels
  • What is Nice to Have

  • Technical understanding of Automotive HW and SW systems
  • Experience of working with or at customers like VCC, Polestar, Volvo AB etc.
  • What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 25%, domestic and international travel
  • Be willing to work in an office.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
