Job Description

  • As a lead consultant, you are responsible for the development of digital business strategies, considering the end customer, organizational and technology perspectives. You take on the strategic development of national and international clients and develop concrete recommendations for action based on your analysis of the relationship between content, customer data, technology, media, and processes.

  • You are an expert in consulting our clients along all phases of the projects: from defining the initial vision and translating broad challenges into a detailed roadmap, transformation programs and preparing the implementation, considering complex challenges, and create comprehensible business cases.

  • Support and help to drive interdisciplinary teams in large and international pitches and consulting projects with joy and confidence to the customer’s benefit.

  • Our clients perceive you as a thought leader in digital transformation – you fill this scope with joy and great professional confidence.

  • Together with the team of highly qualified and experienced strategy consultants, you continuously develop our business consulting services.


  • A degree in economics, international marketing, informatics, business engineering, or a comparable course of study. A higher degree is an advantage.

  • At 5-7 years of professional experience as a consultant in a strategic function in a professional services company, industry, a start-up or in a renowned consultancy.

  • Excellent knowledge of strategy development, underpinned by practical application of consulting methods and models.

  • Strong strategic and analytical skills combined with a gift for communicating complex solutions effectively and experience in leading and delivering national and/or international digitalization or transformation projects.

  • A customer-centric mindset and an understanding of customer journeys.

  • Strong communication and argumentation skills, as well as convincing and confident appearance at C-level with the customer. You enjoy presenting the ideas developed in the team in front of customers.

  • Enthusiasm for several of the following topics: Innovation management, digital business models, transformation management, organizational development, process optimization, multi-channel models, data and CRM, e-commerce.

  • Team spirit and high willingness to always learn new things and mentor junior colleagues to help bring them to the next level.

  • Very good written and spoken Swedish and English skills (business fluent)


  • Participate in and successfully deliver several strategy engagements for our clients

  • Strengthen client relationships and enhance satisfaction through well thought out and professional recommendations.

  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant internal stakeholders especially within Commercial, Growth and CX

  • Be a highly considered colleague within Consulting and across Merkle Practices
