Insights from the team

In the Ground Truth team, we design and implement computing technologies that enable the development of automatic post-processing tools and reference systems for the verification of Zenseact products. Using state-of-the-art sensor technology together with offline processing of Lidar point clouds, camera and GPS data, we create a ground truth reference for the internal Zenseact developers which enables them to continuously verify the performance of our customer features.

As an autonomous team, we have the freedom and trust to make decisions on our product and our way of working. We readily involve our Product Owner and our Engineering Manager if we require additional assistance to implement a change or push an initiative. We are constantly adapting our way of working to increase our speed and achieve our goals. In the team, we have an open and pleasant environment where you would feel safe to share your opinions freely without worrying about being judged.

We also value knowledge sharing since we aim for everyone to be able to take on any task in our backlog. We share responsibilities by creating champions of important work areas and randomizing team members to be different champions of the week. This means that some weeks, you might be the scrum master of the team or responsible for supporting our different colleagues that use our data to name a few examples.

To strengthen the team, we are now looking for a senior software developer that can implement new features as well as toolchain improvements to optimize the speed and ease-of-use of the offline post-processing ground truth tool chain.

Your mission and day-to-day tasks

  • Developing state-of-the-art post-processing algorithms and improving our automated toolchain running in a cluster environment
  • As part of the team you will work closely with colleagues providing support, as well as individually performing ad hoc tasks
  • Providing support to our internal Zenseact developers
  • Delivering as a team with a common goal

Qualifications & experiences

We are looking for an open, positive, and committed person who enjoys working in a team-based organization. Your collaboration skills, sense of responsibly and willingness to share knowledge and experiences will make you thrive in this role. We are searching for someone with effective communication skills who can contribute to solving problems, both within your team and with other teams.

Furthermore, we are looking for:

  • Extensive knowledge in software engineering
  • Proficiency in C++, with the ability to write performing, testable and maintainable software
  • Knowledge in mathematical probability and statistics
  • A Bachelor or Master in Engineering or Science, along with some years of relevant working experience with software development
