The Impact You Will Have
As an Underwriter for Financial Lines based in Stockholm, with the added flexibility of remote work, you’ll play a pivotal role within the Benelux/Nordics region. Your contributions will extend beyond managing existing client relationships to actively seeking out new opportunities. Your expertise will be instrumental in navigating complex financial scenarios, mitigating risks, and fostering growth within the region. With your strategic insights and proactive approach, you’ll drive impactful decisions that strengthen our position in the market and ensure long-term success.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Underwrite profitable new and renewal business within the Financial Lines sector, focusing on Financial Institution clients.
- Build and analyze client files through financial analysis, risk assessment, and global pricing tools.
- Negotiate price, terms, and conditions to meet underwriting guidelines and compliance requirements.
- Ensure accurate policy documentation and maintain file integrity.
- Proactively support policy administration and credit control processes.
- Take ownership of key accounts and clients to drive business growth.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with producers and clients in collaboration with Market Management.
- Participate in the development and execution of regional underwriting strategy for Financial Lines.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Economics, Law, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Swedish and English is essential, with knowledge of Danish, Norwegian, or Finnish considered advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly in both written and verbal forms.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver compelling narratives to diverse audiences, whether improvised or prepared.
- Advanced analytical skills, capable of detailed analysis of complex data from various sources.
- Previous experience in the Financial Lines/Financial Institutions industry and/or in the Nordics region is desirable.
- Proactive embrace of agile working practices and commitment to continuous learning to meet evolving internal and external customer needs.
