This role is a part of our Merchant Underwriting & Monitoring which has the overall responsibility for Qliro’s efforts to prevent credit losses associated with our merchants. The team also monitors existing merchants on an ongoing basis to swiftly detect and take action on deteriorating businesses. The team sets out guidelines for the work that is performed within the operations department and acts as a first escalation instance for larger and more complex decisions.

As a Senior Credit Underwriter within the credit domain, you will perform analyses on new merchant cooperations and support in assessing other counterparty risks Qliro may encounter. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of the problem space and work in a coaching role where you spread your domain knowledge as well as propose improvements to our current processes and guidelines. In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Credit Product.

As a Senior Credit Underwriter your will:

• Analyze and assess the credit risk on incoming incoming business proposals and present recommendations regarding new merchants to the Credit Committee.
• Hold a decision mandate of your own.
• Contribute to developing our internal guidelines and procedures

Continuously monitor, reassess, and propose actions for current business exposures

Your profile:

• At least 4+ years of performing corporate financial analysis/credit assessment.
• Curious, structured, analytical, quality-oriented, eye for details.
• Good collaboration and communication skills.
• Without being an expert, you need to be able to consider regulatory, business, and customer perspectives, and to balance those perspectives in your recommendations.
• Good at exploring and learning how to use new systems without complete instructions.
• Fairly experienced Excel user.

Fluent in Swedish and English

Meriting:

• Previous team leadership experience
• Previous KYC, AML, and fraud prevention experience
• Experience from working with another Nordic market
