Sveriges Riksbank, located in Stockholm, is the central bank of Sweden. The Riksbank’s main tasks are to maintain price stability and to contribute to the stability and efficiency of the financial system. The Monetary Policy Department (MPD) produces the material the Executive Board needs to make monetary policy decisions. The MPD also produces several different background reports for the Executive Board. The department also compiles the statistics on financial markets and economic developments that are required for this purpose and to meet international requirements of central banks’ statistical production in general.

Job description
As a senior advisor at the Monetary Policy Department you will conduct research analysis in the fields of monetary policy, economic policy coordination and climate policy. You will give advice to the management of the MPD and the rest of the Riksbank’s department in these fields. You will participate in the internal dissemination of new, policy-relevant insights from academic research in these fields.

About you
You have a PhD in economics. You have many years of experience from working at a senior, strategic level in a policy department. You have international experience, preferably from a central bank or an international (economic) organisation. You also have very good knowledge of and experience in policy work from government authorities. You have deep knowledge and a very good understanding of both macroeconomics, finance, public finance and climate issues. You have extensive experience in working in English. Your ability to express yourself in English in speech and writing is very good.

As a person, you are good at collaborating and you are a strong communicator. You have very strong analytical skills. You are confident and stable, with good judgment. You work in a structured way and have the ability to plan and organize your work effectively. You easily take initiatives, and have a strong orientation towards results. You possess a strategic perspective on issues, acknowledging the longer-term importance and wider ramifications of issues being analyzed.
