The water industry in Sweden is growing the coming years and Hach needs talent that are enthusiastic in being part of our growth journey. As Sales Development Manager you will play a significant role on that journey. You will be the person who will, together with the local account owner explore and drive new and existing projects forward until the project is booked and delivered.
This position is part of the Hach Sales Team Nordics, and you will be working remote from home office. In this role, you will:
- Prepare and deliver application related presentations at on-site visits, virtual Teams meetings, Conferences and Trade fairs
- Develop and execute action plans for sales objectives and identified market opportunities
- Train Field Sales Team in water cycles, water solutions/applications, compliance limits etc. Support Field Sales at onsite visits
- Create quotes for tenders and other advanced solutions
- Prepare regular sales data such as forecasts and maintain customer activity files in CRM (Salesforce) system
Critical Competencies:
- Ability to network customer’s organization and build connections.
- Relevant experience in the water industry in a commercial role or relevant experience with a utility or a contractor/consultant providing engineered solutions for the water industry with an emphasis on process design and/or optimization.
- Solution selling with a consultative approach of complex, customer-specific application solutions.
- Comfortable in representing solutions that are technical in nature, with experience gained in a technical environment.
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and communication skills in Swedish language.
- Must be willing and able to travel extensively in Sweden and occasionally in EU.
- High level of English language skills (written and verbal)
- A degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Environment Sciences or Engineering. Alternate degrees or work experiences will be considered.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Passion for automation and the value, safety, reliability, and efficiencies that coordinated hardware-software-service solutions deliver
- Strong project management skills; will operate as a key member of account team and drive opportunity teams
- Detailed end to end knowledge of the wastewater and wastewater sludge treatment processes including primary sedimentation processes, activated sludge processes for both organic and nutrient removal, chemical dosing for phosphate removal, anaerobic digestion and polymer dosing for sludge thickening and dewatering processes strongly desired.
