Hitachi Energy HVDC

Are you ready to join us on our amazing journey? At Hitachi Energy we strive to help solve the World’s energy crisis by providing solutions for the efficient transportation of ”green” electricity from its place of generation (eg. off-shore wind farms, hydroelectric power stations, solar-cell farms, etc.) to our factories & cities. By bringing sustainable energy to more people, we can help reduce our impact on the planet.

We are seeking several new R&D Engineers in Digital Electronics hardware design. In this role you will help develop our electronics’ systems that Control & Protect our High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) power stations. This position is based in Ludvika or Västerås, Sweden. Up to 49% remote working, depending on task.

The HVDC technology has been on the market for over 60 years and is used to transmit power over long distances & integrate renewables into the grid with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.

You will be joining a fast-growing team of hardware design engineers that really strive to cooperate and focus on their tasks; developing the best possible technical solution for our MACH™ platform. Our work environment is open and you will be encouraged to do what you are best at – every day. Should you later have interest in growing into another role, Hitachi Energy has good possibilities for this as well.
