About the Role
The purpose for this role is to facilitate effective product production processes, being the link between product development and the production, driving the process forward to production.
The role has mandate to represent Legrand Care towards factories and suppliers. You will be responsible for professionally communicating how products should be manufactured and for setting a timetable.
The Production Engineering Manager will report to the R&D Manager, located in Löddeköpinge, Sweden.
Key responsibilities are:
- Collaborate with the development team to understand product designs and specifications.
- Analyse product designs and provide input on design for manufacturability to optimize production processes.
- Introduction of new products into production
- Managing industrialization and customization projects
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues, work closely with production team to implement effective solutions.
- Participate in the selection and procurement of production equipment and materials.
- Design and oversee the creation of production work instructions, process maps, and quality control procedures
- Provide training and providing guidance to manufacturers on the production line such as new processes, technologies, and best practices.
- Collaborating with executive-level management to align expectations and objectives.
- Completing progress reports
- Provide feedback to development team about efficient design for manufacturing
- Implementation of new variants and modifications into production process
- Managing new and changed releases into systems
- Suggest production improvement projects such as synergies between sites, technical platforms etc.
- Collaborate with Quality Manager for Quality assurance

Your background
We believe that you meet most of these background criteria:
- Experience from working in a similar role is preferrable.
- Experience from and understanding of production development, production processes, or R&D
- Experience from Production Supply Chain roles
- Academical education within technology, engineering discipline
- Swedish native level in speech and writing. Good business English in speech and writing. Spanish skills would be a plus.
