Do you want to be part of our innovative, committed and expanding Group Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) function?
The FCP function encompasses the areas of fraud prevention, AML transaction monitoring, sanctions and PEP screening, market surveillance and rogue trading. The purpose of the tribe is to ensure effective processes and tools to predict, prevent, detect, act and report potential financial crime, internally and to relevant authorities.
FCP Market Surveillance team is responsible for monitoring trading in financial instruments to prevent and detect insider trading and market manipulation. The team operates globally, encompassing all trading activity in the SEB Group.
We are now looking to strengthen our team with a Market Surveillance Officer with strong expertise in financial instruments.
About the job
The Market Surveillance role has a strong emphasis on understanding the various risks in relation to different financial instruments and the team’s monitoring tasks.
In this role, you will work integrated with the Market Surveillance team and you will be the main expert in trading financial instruments and conduct daily monitoring as part of the surveillance process. The team’s responsibilities are handling surveillance alerts (both from transactions and communication), carrying out deeper investigations of trade patterns, handling authority requests, performing optimization of our monitoring algorithms, and supporting the organization with knowledge of market abuse behaviors. You will also be part of building and prioritizing our roadmap in the Market Surveillance team.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role, you need to have a strong personal drive, self-motivation, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to easily build relationships with different stakeholders. Experience in financial instruments and relevant related technology is of essence but may be from various backgrounds.
You also have:
- more than three years of relevant financial securities experience and very likely a university degree in finance/economics.
- worked with or have an understanding of the Market Abuse Regulation and general interest in financial markets and trading is very meritable.
- positive attitude, strong drive, and willingness to learn new tasks, be analytical, and have the ability to prioritize. Further, you need to be fluent in both Swedish and English (spoken and in writing).
