Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Quantitative Developer to join our Forecasting Team. You will be part of a small but growing team of data scientists and analytics engineers that specialize in predicting the outlook of the Spotify business. This is a highly impactful role where you will be supporting the development and direction of the in-house user and content forecasting system, using large scale data from across the organization to deliver accurate impact estimates on a global scale for senior business partners
Actively support and enhance the backend of our forecasting system, contributing to its robustness and scalability. This involves collaborating closely with data scientists and engineers on a quantitatively complex codebase to enhance system architecture and performance, as well as to integrate new features.
You will support the development of a comprehensive web portal that facilitates access to our forecasting tools, ensuring our internal teams can make data-driven decisions with ease. Additionally, you will manage our cloud-based compute resources, focusing on performance and scalability to efficiently leverage cloud technologies for optimal data processing capabilities.
Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python is essential. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly desirable, as it is our primary cloud service provider. Additionally, prior experience with SQL is advantageous.
Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative skills and familiarity with statistical concepts and numerical analysis are crucial due to the complexity of our systems.
Experience: At least 2+ years of experience working with Python on a daily basis.
Mindset: Possesses excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, coupled with a passion for innovative problem-solving and a drive to think outside the box in a team-driven environment
For this role, there will be some in-person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come into the Stockholm office 2-3 times per week.
