Axpo Sverige AB is looking for a Junior Physical Portfolio Manager to the Physical Desk in Malmö. Depending on your competence and passion, we have the possibility to adapt a position that suit our needs and your profile. We are primarily looking for a person that would like to work with optimization of our portfolio on the Day Ahead and Intra-Day markets and contribute to a well-functioning customer life cycle management.

What you will do

• Contribute to all trading activities on the Physical Desk, Day Ahead, Intra-Day and Ancillary markets to balance our portfolio.
• Power market analysis and analysis of our portfolio together with the rest of the physical desk and other internal resources
• Develop systems and tools for data driven decision making by following Axpo’s development procedures
• Ensure stable, safe, legal and regulatory compliance of trading operations
• Maintenance of our portfolio and data structure related to the physical desk
• Automate routine tasks
• Reporting/follow up of activities
• Manage our customer structure

What you bring & who you are

• You have a relevant educational background in finance, engineering or IT with 0-4 years of work experience
• You possess programming skills in Python, SQL
• You are a team player with a commercial mind set, structured thinking, and high attention to details
• You are fluent in English and at least one Nordic language
• Knowledge in version control using GIT, as well as programming skills in C# and Php are considered an advantage
• Experience working with a cloud environment (preferable Azure) is a plus
• Basic understanding of the Nordic Short term Power Market is a plus
• Basic knowledge of trading and trading strategies, as well as electricity market processes is an advantage

About the team

The Axpo Nordic team consists of 45 employees with comprehensive trading and origination experience from both the Continental and the Nordic energy markets. You will be a part of the Physical Desk consisting of seven people with various background. As a part of the Axpo Nordic Origination team, the Physical Desk is managing the physical electricity value chain including all of Axpo Nordic’s day ahead and intra-day trading activities in the Nordic power market as well as forecasting of load and generation and management and development of customer solutions such as ancillary services.
