Certifications such as CISSM, CISSP, or similar are highly beneficial, along with experience in hybrid or cloud-based environment in a large organization. Knowledge of security standards like ISO27001 is an advantage. Personal qualities like the ability to quickly grasp the big picture, enjoy teamwork, be attentive, curious, and comfortable in leadership roles are crucial.
