Role Overview
We’re looking for a Head of Operations & Finance to lead Swedish HQ operations while overseeing finance and operational execution across our Swedish, French a and US entities: This role combines operational leadership, financial oversight, post-acquisition integration, and support for upcoming investment rounds.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership (SE & FR)
- Lead daily operations from Stockholm HQ, optimizing workflows across marketplace operations, supply, and services.
- Drive integration and efficiency across business units, including Storefront France (Minoa Retail).
- Ensure operational documentation is standardized across invoicing, expenses, project delivery, and HR.
- Oversee vendor and software relationships (Salesforce, HubSpot, PayFit, Alan, Malakoff).
- Collaborate with French and Swedish teams to unify workflows, tools, and performance tracking.
2. Financial & Compliance Management
- Own group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly reporting across Sweden, France, and the US.
- Ensure full legal and tax compliance in Sweden and France, coordinating with external accountants (KER, Pennylane, PayFit).
- Manage payroll (URSSAF, Alan, Malakoff), VAT reporting, social contributions, and French GAAP compliance.
- Maintain robust cash flow control, banking relationships, and intercompany reconciliation.
- Monitor revenue capture from marketplace deals, value-added services, and subscriptions.
3. Fundraising & Investor Readiness
- Support the CEO in preparing for Series A fundraising, including investor materials, financial models, and data room coordination.
- Track KPIs and financial performance across all legal entities to ensure alignment and readiness.
- Lead financial due diligence processes with legal and investment partners.
4. Leadership & Reporting
- Build and lead the finance and ops team from Stockholm, with dotted-line oversight of French operations.
- Act as the key liaison to auditors, tax authorities, legal counsel, and external stakeholders in both Sweden and France.
- Report regularly on financial status, operational performance, and compliance to the CEO and board (Nomadic Retail AB).
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in operations and finance, ideally across high-growth marketplaces, SaaS, or retail-tech environments.
- Deep knowledge of Swedish accounting, tax, and compliance, including payroll and company law.
- Working knowledge of French financial and legal systems is a strong plus.
- Experience managing multiple legal entities and international operations.
- Proficiency in tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, PayFit, Pennylane.
- Fluency in English; French fluency is a plus but not required.
- Highly structured, execution-driven, and comfortable in a dynamic startup environment.
