We spend roughly 50% of our daily awake time with our colleagues. We call our team the aluminum casting purchasing family because we feel connected and spend so much quality time together! We are a diverse team with 6 different nationalities located in Lyon, France & in Gothenburg, Sweden working in close collaboration with our extended family of colleagues globally!

At Volvo we are going through a massive industry transformation with battery electric vehicles, hydrogen, fuel cell etc. Within the aluminum casting family we are anticipating a major contribution to be made in all the new and existing products development, and with this we are anticipating an increase of close to 3 times of aluminum as compared to today! When doing so, we are always thinking about our environment and how to reduce the amount of CO2 produced from cradle to grave of our parts.
Here is where you come into the picture.

You, our hopefully soon to be new member will be taking the lead in driving the aluminum casting business. You will be working in a truly global team and have a purchasing responsibility that will strengthen our family.

Who are you?

We believe you are an enthusiastic person with a strong willingness to learn. You are curious to find new solutions to problems and know what it takes to walk the extra mile. You have the ability to create strong relationships and work in close collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders, both internally and externally. Besides, you like to handle a variety of things and are used to adapt yourself to changes as they occur.

The ticket to ride:

• University degree in engineering or business
• A few years of experience in purchasing
• Experience working with commercial topics in a global environment.
• Experience within automotive purchasing experience is considered an advantage
• High level of negotiation skills and experience
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
