expanding in the B2B market as a key player in aviation data. We are looking for a Software Engineer – Data to help build our emerging B2B product portfolio.

We are transitioning from a data-provider to an essential operational partner. We don’t just

track flights; we provide the predictive insights that allow airlines, airports, and

manufacturers to increase efficiencies, eliminate uncertainty and drive bottom-line growth.

We are seeking a Software Engineer in Data for our brand new B2B tech team. You will have

a central role in our transformation as we productize our raw data and build the engine for

Flightradar24’s B2B product portfolio.

You will be an essential part of building data resiliency for FR24’s data products; from

defining and measuring qualitative metrics and KPIs to product-driven data pipeline

architecture & development.

The existing B2B portfolio includes live data feeds, custom historical data exports, our public

REST API service, and the business features of flightradar24.com. We have some of the

world’s largest ADS-B and other flight datasets, at different levels of granularity. As part of

your role at Flightradar24, you will participate in building entirely new products for business

use.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the data engineering behind Flightradar24’s entire B2B product portfolio, from customer-facing APIs to the underlying data pipelines and services
• Create brand new pipelines, machine-learning models, and define heuristics to transform our raw aviation data into valuable products for B2B customers
• Define the metrics through which we measure the quality of our data, and implement continuous monitoring of those metrics
• Work across the full data stack where needed, from data lakehouse and databases to backend services
• Improve the reliability, observability, and operational excellence of our data systems
• Work closely with platform, data, web, and infrastructure teams to integrate with the broader Flightradar24 ecosystem

About you

• Have several years of experience working with complex data-first products and pipelines
• Have a strong analytical mind and a knack of formalizing your intuitions
• Aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty working with code throughout the engineering stack as well as higher-level data layers and databases
• A quick learner and a systems thinker, who can understand complex existing systems even when documentation is limited
• Have fluency working with non-technical team members to understand customer needs
• Are comfortable framing your work within larger-scale strategic initiatives
• Feel at-home in fast-moving environments where you are expected to have high impact

Required technical competence

• Strong experience designing and building high-performance data pipelines
• Experience working with modern cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Solid understanding of databases, distributed systems, and data architecture
• Experience with APIs, event-driven systems, streaming platforms, or large-scale data processing
• Comfortable working across multiple technology stacks and learning new technologies when needed
• Strong understanding of reliability, observability, testing, and production operations
