Python Developer

We’re supporting a leading engineering organisation that is looking for a sharp Python Developer to join a team responsible for automating verification and testing processes across complex software environments.

This is a software development role focused on building tools and automation rather than performing manual testing. You’ll be working within a highly capable team that develops Python solutions used by test and verification engineers, helping automate workflows and integrate results into modern GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.

The Role

You’ll be contributing to the development of Python tooling that supports verification and test automation across HIL and SIL environments. We’re looking for a motivated developer with approximately 3-5 years of commercial experience who enjoys solving problems and writing high-quality code.

The team is looking for someone who can quickly become productive, work independently and engage confidently with both technical colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python applications and automation tools
• Build solutions that support verification and testing activities
• Integrate test results into GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate with engineers, testers and stakeholders to understand requirements
• Contribute to automation and process improvements
• Help deliver reliable and scalable tooling used across engineering teams

Requirements

• Commercial experience developing software in Python
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Ability to work independently and learn quickly
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with Generative AI or LLM prompting
• Test automation experience (e.g. PyTest)
• Exposure to HIL or SIL environments
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• GitHub or GitHub Actions experience
