About the team

The role will be part of the Nordic Management team together with Country Managers for each market and a Head of Strategy and Business development. Together, the team oversees and coordinates strategic and operational activities across the Nordic region, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives and fostering regional collaboration and growth.

About the role

Storytel is seeking a dynamic and experienced team member to support our Public Relations and Marketing departments across the Nordic region. The Nordic Head of Marketing & PR will develop and implement integrated strategies to enhance our brand presence, manage public perception, and drive market growth. This role requires strategic marketing acumen, exceptional PR skills, and strong self-leadership abilities to ensure alignment with our overall business goals.

Our ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, strong communicator, and a relationship builder, who can be a trusted partner to our Nordic teams across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Management: Enhance Storytel’s brand presence across earned, owned and paid channels, ensuring high engagement for priority campaigns and topics, and safeguarding brand reputation.
  • Media Relations: Support and guide local PR teams in establishing and nurturing relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure impactful media coverage.
  • Content Development: Form a regional framework for the creation of engaging press releases, articles, and PR materials as well as marketing and social media assets.
  • Thought Leadership: Collaborate with internal experts for media placements, speaking engagements, and articles.
  • Event Management: Form strategy framework and PR efforts for regional events, product launches, and industry conferences.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor media coverage and campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights.
  • Team Leadership: Support, guide, and coach the local Nordic PR and Marketing teams, ensuring high-quality operations across platforms.
  • Project management: Lead cross-regional commercial initiatives within the Nordic region and across the whole Storytel organization, including cooperation with Product & Tech, Content, Central marketing and Legal.
  • Campaigns Development: Conceptualize, plan, and execute integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, harnessing the expertise of both regional and central teams to maximize impact.
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Facilitate effective collaboration between the Local markets and Central teams, Provide clear direction, set performance goals, and ensure effective communication and shared best practices across all Nordic marketing functions.
  • Local Marketing Plans: Coordinate and support the development of local PR, Event and marketing plans and budgets with the local teams.

  • Experience in handling crisis communications professionally and timely


  • 8+ years of work experience across the Nordic region, with significant experience in B2C marketing (media/PR, events, digital, social media, communications)
  • Proven track record of driving change and building organizations.
  • Several years of managing teams in multiple locations
  • Fluency in English and ideally one of the Nordic languages
