The Team

The Capital Markets organization at Zinqular is integral to our ability to raise and optimize capital across our investment portfolio. This team collaborates closely with our client’s solutions team, investment professionals and leadership to structure financing solutions that support our strategic objectives. They are responsible for maintaining relationships with a diverse network of financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders to ensure the firm’s capital needs are met in a cost-effective and timely manner.

 

 

Role Overview

As the Global Head of Capital Markets, you will lead the firm’s capital markets strategy, overseeing all aspects of capital raising, financing, and market transactions. This senior leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of global capital markets, a strong network of relationships within the financial community, and a proven track record in capital structuring and fundraising. You will be instrumental in driving the firm’s growth by ensuring access to capital and optimizing financial structures for our investments.

 

To be successful, you will develop a deep understanding of the firm’s investment and operational capabilities, service offerings, culture and vision, regulatory and supervisory landscape. You will need to build and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal teams.

 

 

Reporting Relationships

  • Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
  • Direct Reports: Directors of Capital Markets, Director Clients & Partner Solutions, Analysts, and other team members within the Capital Markets unit
  • Collaborates with: Senior Investment Professionals, Portfolio Management Team, Legal and Compliance Team, Investor Relations, and External Advisors

 

 

Key Responsibilities

1) Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a global network of banks, investors, credit agencies, and other financial partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for capital market participants, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor meetings, and other high-profile events to enhance the firm’s market presence and reputation.

2) Capital Raising and Financing Strategy:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive capital raising strategies to support the firm’s investment activities and growth objectives.
  • Identify and pursue innovative financing solutions to optimize the capital structure of the firm and its portfolio companies.
  • Lead negotiations with financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders to secure favorable financing terms and conditions.

3) Market Transactions and Deal Structuring:

  • Oversee the structuring and execution of complex financial transactions, including leveraged buyouts, debt and equity placements, and refinancing.
  • Provide strategic guidance on market conditions, deal terms, and risk management to support investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with investment teams to design and implement financing structures that align with the firm’s investment strategy and objectives.

4) Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Capital Markets team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for team members, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.

5) Strategic Planning and Analysis:

  • Conduct ongoing market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in the capital markets.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team on capital market dynamics and their potential impact on the firm’s operations.
  • Develop and refine the firm’s capital markets strategy based on evolving market conditions and business needs.

6) Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all capital market activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Implement robust risk management frameworks to mitigate financial and operational risks associated with capital market transactions.
  • Work closely with the Legal and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory guidelines.

7) Financial Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present detailed reports on capital market activities, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives to the executive leadership team and board of directors.
  • Communicate the firm’s capital market strategies and performance to internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Investor Relations team to provide regular updates to investors on the firm’s capital market activities and financial performance.

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, or private equity, with a focus on capital raising and financial structuring.
  • Proven track record of successfully raising capital and executing complex financial transactions on a global scale.
  • Extensive experience in managing relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of global capital market dynamics, financing structures, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-making skills with a focus on creating win-win outcomes.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting tools.
