The mission of your role

Safello is on a journey to transform the financial infrastructure for good. In an ambitious pursuit like this, we need ambitious talent to help us get there. As Financial Investigation Officer you will play an important role in our organization while working in the Financial Intelligence Unit team to perform investigations in fraud and money laundering cases.

You will report to the Head of Operations and be based in Stockholm, our office is located centrally at WeWork. However, we are flexible remote workers and there is no mandatory office time.

Your main responsibilities will include…

• Perform financial/blockchain investigations
• Review alerts from transaction monitoring systems and investigate suspicious activities
• Act upon the available data and perform due diligence of our customers
• Collaborate with authorities on blockchain-based investigations
• Work together with other Financial Investigation Officers
• Analyze the fraud data and draw conclusions to improve our internal systems
• Take important part in implementation of improvements to our monitoring systems

About you

In order to succeed in the role we believe that you have…

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish
• Analytical skills and ability to analyze large data sets and draw conclusions
• Ability to quickly learn the technical aspects of constantly evolving cryptocurrency industry
• Understanding of applicable AML laws and regulations
• Experience working in financial institution or law enforcement

It is considered an advantage if you have…

• Interest and experience in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology
• Experience with Chainalysis software or similar (strong advantage)
• Experience in financial / fraud investigations
• AML certification, e.g. ACAMS
