About this opportunity

You will work in Karlskrona within the development organization for Core Networks Engineering Unit within Business Area Cloud Software and Services. Our responsibility in Karlskrona is the development of products within the Provisioning and Activation area, i.e. activation of Subscribers, Services and Resources. Currently, we have more than 1400 installations, present at 300 customers and our products serve over 2 billion users. You are an integral part of of Ericsson’s 5G core development enabled by a Cloud Native architecture. We use technologies like Java, Scala, AKKA, Cassandra, OpenStack, Docker and Kubernetes, and development is done according to Agile principles in multi-functional self-organized teams with typically 5-7 Developers. The cornerstones in our development include a very high level of test automation, continuous integration and daily deliveries in a DevOps approach.

Development Group Activation, based in Karlskrona and Shanghai, is responsible for the full E2E flow from requirements from the customer, through studies, development, verification and also support for Ericsson Dynamic Activation, EDA and as well parts of CCDM product, where we collaborate closely with UDM organization.. EDA product is used in several solutions and context, 5GC, Private Networks, Ericsson Orchestrator, UDC, together with BSS etc, making our journey exiting!

The organization today has five units in Karlskrona, and three based in Shanghai, reporting to Head of Development Group based in Karlskrona. In addition to the line managers, the leadership team also includes the program roles and leaders for support flow. As line manager in EDA you will have the responsibility for a unit of 20-25 individuals, organized in teams. Now we have an opening as Line Manager in Karlskrona, and are searching for a new colleague to join our leadership team!

You will bring

• Genuine interest in development and support of products

• A strong interest and drive for the business and drivers that leads to our customer success
• A strong interest in being a part of developing your team members well-being, skills and abilities
• Automation and continuous integration experience
• Experience of leading roles and driving process change
• BSc or MSc or similar in telco relevant areas
• Strong business acumen
• Working experience in the area > 5 years
• Good collaboration skills as we want great teammates
• Knowledge and experience in Agile work methods
