About Protas
Protas is an independent not-for-profit organisation, designing and delivering large, global randomized clinical trials of treatments for common and other life-threatening diseases. Protas is led by the epidemiologist and physician, Professor Sir Martin Landray, who has over 20 years’ experience of leading large, randomized clinical trials as part of a team at Oxford University’s Nuffield Department of Population Health. Most recently, he has been co-leading the landmark RECOVERY clinical trial into treatments for COVID-19 which identified that treatment with the inexpensive steroid drug dexamethasone, improved the chances of survival for the most severe cases. About the role
As the Drug Supply Manager at Protas you will manage and deliver the activities relating to the supply of Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) for Protas’ trial portfolio, ensuring all processes comply with applicable regulations and are integrated with the overall portfolio management approaches. As part of a portfolio management team and Trial Management Teams as required, act as operational lead for all aspects of the drug supply process across the full range of Protas’ clinical trials portfolio. Provide leadership in the design and establishment of a drug supply function that integrates with and supports our wider Clinical Operations work, to meet Protas’ current needs and be readily scalable as Protas grows.
About you
You have worked within clinical trials managing the logistics involved with investigational medicinal product and the placebo for the trials. You would have the ability to interact with and understand complex scientific information and translate that into operational plans for a defined area of expertise. You would have had experience within the procurement/supplies field with extensive knowledge and experience of IMP supply, customs processes and logistics relating to IMP shipments. You would have managed a team to achieve high quality performance.

Job Level: B – £60,000 per annum
