Valtech has recently decided to bring together our 4 entities in Denmark and Sweden into a single Nordics organisation. With more than 500 staff today, some of which are part of the global and regional leadership, the Nordics is a key region for our operations. To support our new Nordic business initiatives, we are looking for a Bid Manager to join our Business Development team across Nordics.
In this role, you will be responsible for the bid process from start to finish, taking on the role of a project manager of the bid. You will create and drive the bid team(s) and the business to develop winning propositions that comply with out customers’ requirements.
Working in close collaboration with our sales & pre-sales teams, this role is crucial to the ongoing success of our business. As a Bid Manager, you will have a great opportunity to make direct impact on our business by increasing quality and efficiency of our proposals, and therefore the chances of winning new business.
More specifically, you will:
/ Operate as a leader to manage and deliver quality proposals to our existing and potential clients
/ Organise bid teams, confirm the roles and responsibilities within, create bid plan to meet the client timetable, and delived proposal that exceeds the client’s expectations and provides a foundation for a winning bid
/ Ensure adherence to legally binding requirements and client’s long-term goals
/ Together with the BD Leader, you will shape the strategic direction of the bid and contribute to the dialogue about solution, win themes and value proposition
/ Work across all verticals managing bid activity across the organisation including colleagues from other offices and/or service lines
Who are you?
You are a dedicated Bid Manager at a mid-to-senior level with experience in leading digital and data transformation bids.
Drawing on your experience you thrive from taking accountability for driving muliple bids at the same time engaging with various different stakeholders across the organization. You have an eye for detail and proactively act on any issues or conflicts to continuously improve the process and deliver value of high quality.
Additionaly, you possess the following skills:
/ 3-5 years of experience in bid management coming from a digital agency environment
/ Demonstrable knowledge of commercial, financial and market related requirements for client proposals and tender responses
/ Strong project management toolbox and structured approach to work
/ Proven track record in leading multi-disciplinary teams to form effective bid teams
/ Effective bid writing and communication skills, both in English, and Swedish or Danish, with ability to clearly articulate Valtech’s strenghts and value proposition in compelling manner
Location and language requirements
For this role, we are open to hear from English speaking candidates who are already based in Sweden or Denmark, and are able to work regularly from our Stockholm or Copenhagen office.
This position is not open to fully remote work or global relocation possibilities, but does offer the opportunity for a hybrid WFH/in-office model for local candidates.
Fluency in Swedish or Danish is a strict requirement for this role as many of our large deals are in the area of the Danish/Swedish regulated market. Therefore, candidates not fulfilling this requirement will unfortunately not be considered.
