Job Description
As a 3D Artist in our team, you will combine 3D, creativity, and technology to produce high quality CGI content while exploring new ways to minimize production time and costs. You will be working on a broad scope of projects and in various project teams focusing on everything from animations to images, all with high realism. Always delivering high quality communication content that will inspire and engage the consumer and enhance the IKEA offer.
- Deliver high quality 3D content in time, but also consciously balance quality, time, and cost.
- Understand the project requirements, conceptualizing creative ideas and support in the development of storyboards and concepts.
- Build interior architecture, populate, and fine-tune the scene, with the focus on lighting and composition.
- Keep up to date with trends within the industry, as well as new tools, techniques, and software.
- Work proactively to build good relationships within project teams and collaborate effectively with other competences as for example Interior Designers, Art Directors, and Production Leaders, across the production workflow.
- Find new CGI opportunities enabled by 3D.
Qualifications
Our 3D Artists are enthusiastic people with an eye for details, creativity, and passion for creating evocative images. Our mission is to create impactful communication that brings the IKEA brand to life and helps turn visitors into customers.
You’ll need:
- 2+ years working experience in architectural visualization, 3D, or relevant area.
- Excellent creativity and artistic skills. An eye for light, composition, and realism
- 2+ years’ experience in 3D animation
- Understanding of basic rules in motion, 3D animation such as keyframes, camera animation and video editing.
- Experienced in 3ds Max and V-Ray
- Technical knowledge of industry standard visualization software and pipelines
- Strong in compositing using Photoshop and After Effects.
For this position we believe you need to have following personal skills:
- Have an interest in life at home, home furnishing.
- The ability to work well in a team, strong communication skills and a strong desire to learn new things.
- Willingness to give and take feedback.
- Be organized, structured, and can self-manage (under stress)
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
