As part of our growth we are strengthening our team Sustaining Engineering in Solna, Stockholm with the position as Technical Product Manager. Sustaining Engineering is part of our research and development department with the responsibility to govern all design change and secure overall product safety and performance for our legacy products. As Technical Product Manager you have a key role in the latter, securing our products safety and performance. The role offers an exciting possibility to play a leading role in the redesign of our products in close cooperation with many different functions in the company. As Technical Product Manager you act like “the spider in the net”.
About the position
As Technical Product Manager you drive design change improvements related to our products safety and performance which means you are part of critical decisions related to the design change of our products. You are one of the key players in our Change Control Board. Besides working closely with most fields in our research and development department, the work includes extensive collaboration with our customer complaints department, production quality engineers and supplier quality engineers. How our customers experience our products and what we experience in production are key inputs in securing our products safety and performance. Together with Product management you take action around changes related to our customer satisfaction, with our product compliance department you collaborate and take action around regulatory aspects.
What you will do
- Lead and prioritize the work related to product safety and compliance
- Take decisions on product concerns and initiate countermeasures to secure our products safety and compliance such as issuing engineering change orders, quality holds and field actions etc.
- Secure the long term quality roadmap for our products
- Leading the Product Care Group responsible for product safety and performance
- Member of our Product Care Board with the responsibility to present status for your product’s safety and performance to management and prepare for decisions
- Be part of our Complaints Trend Meetings to secure the analysis of trends
- Be part of our Change Control Board to secure the coordination of decisions between different stake holders
- Work closely with our program managers design change in the prioritization and actions around design change
What you bring
As ideal for the position you have worked within the healthcare environment and have experience from discussing technical and clinical topics as well as production and sourcing related questions. You have worked with many different type of data, diving down into detail and together with specialists solved problems to a certain technical level. You have good communication skills and are an experienced presenter in different settings. You are used to leading others without being a manager.
Some of your key characteristics include:
- MSc or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years working experience within product development preferably from the medtech sector or similar.
- Experience from highly regulated sectors
- Experience from production and sourcing is a nice to have
- Experience from project management
- Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken

Your analytical skills make you see trends and the complete picture out of the details.
You are curious and have a proven ability to lead and drive your own work and to be flexible. You drive results under complex circumstances and can communicate a complex problem in an easy understandable way in the organization. We need someone who is comfortable to work on several levels – strategically, tactically and hands-on. You are open to change and likes contributing to change.
