Assignment Description:

We are looking for a Senior Team Delivery in Virtualization/Data Centre to join our dynamic team.

What you will work on:

• Collaborate as a dedicated virtualization and data center team with a strong focus on VMware expertise, general virtualization, storage, and networking, emphasizing high-level security practices across all domains.
• Manage and enhance Akademiska hus’s existing Vsphere 8 environment, featuring vSAN, Tiered storage (iSCSI/SAN), NSX-T micro-segmentation, VRSLCM updates, vROPS, Loginsight, AVI Load Balancers, and VMware Horizon VDI for 800 users.
• Explore and implement a possible transition towards a KVM-based virtualization environment in conjunction with VMware vSphere, Horizon, tiered storage, vSAN/software-based solutions, storage replication between site1 and site2, micro-segmentation, and load balancing/reverse proxy configurations. Embrace open standards and open-source solutions to foster portability.
• Design an architecture that supports elasticity, allowing for cloud-based load distribution, thus achieving a “Hybrid Cloud” setup.

What you bring:

• Expertise in specific domains, including Load balancing (AVI), Hyper-V, Nutanix, VMware (including license procurement support), Linux, KVM, IT architecture and design, Open Source technologies, networking proficiency, Dynamic Routing Protocols, security architecture, SAN, VSAN, NSX-T, VSphere, VRSLCM, vROPS, VMWare log insight, and Horizon VDI.
• Demonstrated experience of 4-8 years, showing an ability to work independently and confidently on tasks, serving as a role model for colleagues at a lower level.
• Proficiency in working independently and providing support to team members within the specified areas.
• Flexibility to work remotely and the capability to be on-site in Gothenburg at the customer’s premises as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: 30,000.00kr – 60,000.00kr per month
