Overview

We are looking for ambitious students with programming experience to join us for a Summer Job. This is a chance to be part of the day-to-day operations at a multinational product company and solve real customer-facing problems.

The position is at least 10 weeks full-time during the summer months, but we welcome students willing to start early (in a part-time capacity) to make sure you’re fully ramped up and can hit the ground running once the summer starts.

About Burt

Burt is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company headquartered in New York, USA with our Tech team based in Gothenburg, Sweden. We have some of the world’s largest media companies on our list of customers, including Vox Media, Ziff Davis, and The CW Network.

Our core product empowers media ad sales and operations to make quick, confident decisions by giving our customers a single point of access to explore, analyze, and share insights from their advertising business.

We have an office in central Gothenburg, but you are free to work remotely (with occasional visits).

The role

The work assignments will be challenging and of varying nature. You will participate in maintaining and improving our ETL platform. Customer data is spread out over hundreds of different systems, in various formats, accessed in a variety of ways. Data is downloaded, aggregated, normalised and combined into a single source of truth. This is the base layer, which our products are built upon.

In other words; there are no made-up assignments and you will have a direct impact on our customers.

You

We believe programming is a craftsmanship that can be applied across programming languages and platforms. We primarily work with technologies such as Git, Ruby, AWS, SQL, TypeScript, etc… but consider knowledge in those areas a bonus and not a prerequisite. We expect the right candidate to be a fast learner and to learn what is needed to get the job done.
