Are you an experienced Account Manager with outstanding relationship building skills, sales acumen and knowledge of the Biopharma industry?

We are looking for the next Senior Bioproduction Account Manager to join our Nordic team reporting to the District Manager UK & Nordics. You will be responsible for the sales of our entire Bioproduction portfolio including the Gibco Cell Culture, Purification, Pharma Analytics and Thermo Scientific Single Use Technology brands to our top customers in the region.

Key responsibilities:

  • Influence the use and evaluation of our Bioproduction products to Industrial Biopharmaceutical organizations.
  • Sell at all levels within the customer”s organization including the technical, procurement and higher level management partners.
  • Maintain and grow business within existing key accounts as well as having curiosity to seek new relationships expanding our footprint within those accounts.
  • Work with our internal teams of Technical Specialists and Global Account Managers to deliver a strategic approach to handling key accounts.
  • Work closely with the Field Applications and Technical Specialist groups to ensure the accurate support allocation to key evaluations and projects in the region.
  • Use judgement and prioritization to bring in the appropriate resources to drive sales objectives
  • Develops new sales opportunities within the territory and competes for all projects to meet or exceed targets.
  • Provide accurate forecast and lost order reporting as well as competitive information to the business.


What are we looking for?

  • Proficient in English is a must and ability to speak one Scandinavian language would be an advantage (such a Danish or Norwegian)
  • Sales experience having led complex accounts and long term projects in a relevant industry.
  • Market knowledge and relationships with the key biopharmaceutical accounts in the region preferable.
  • Ability to develop technical skills needed to discuss and support requirements in the fields of Cell and Gene Therapy, recombinant Proteins and Monoclonal antibodies with Process Development, Pilot Plants and manufacturing sciences teams.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with accounts within the territory
  • Comfortable with a matrix organization and effectively collaborates with other teams to advocate for the customer and ensure we deliver a customer first solution.
  • Have a creative, forward-leaning approach to hunt for new business opportunities, and use process improvement initiatives to seek new ways of selling our product portfolio and services.
  • Together with Sales Manager, build and execute on a Strategic Sales Plan in the territory.
  • Experience of using a CRM system such as Salesforce.com
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region to spend time with customers face to face.
