Global Parts Logistics main tasks are to ensure that our current and future customer needs are met with best-in-class logistics solutions and parts availability. To obtain this, we daily work in tight collaboration with our business units, markets and colleagues in Service Market Logistics (GTO SML)
We are now looking for a Senior manager, Parts Logistics. In this role, you will have the responsibility – and opportunity – to influence and drive the direction for Volvo Penta within the parts logistic globally. Your daily focus will blend operational performance, with activities to reach the next level in supporting our customers. You will report to the Director Parts Logistics and be part of a small team of high performing people.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Develop and drive the parts logistics strategy and roadmap linked to Volvo Penta’s strategic objectives and our customers business requirements
- Be the voice of Volvo Penta in the dialogue with GTO SML and wider Volvo Group
- Be a subject matter expert (SME) in parts logistics, and a trusted advisor to business units and markets in parts logistic related questions
- Be highly involved and accountable for developing the Parts Logistics roadmap
- Support supply chain optimization through increased usage of analytics
- Coordinate and drive logistic development projects
Qualifications and personal skills:
For this senior position, we are looking for a person combining an extensive parts logistics insight with a strong business mindset. You are a true team player, good on connecting to people, working cross-functionally, and building networks. You are skilled in initiate and execute task forces and projects. Other skills we would love to find in your profile are a good presenter, skilled in agile way-of-working and someone good in multi-tasking.
