The Company:
My client is looking for Senior development expertise to work in a codebase that will be migrated from C++ to .NETCore with the help of the successful applicant.
Classified as a bank, the company’s product is a virtual Metaverse in which users can trade goods and services with each other for real-world cash, meaning the game can benefit players while at the same time exploring the Metaverse and participating in classic game-style activities.
The company have been in operation for over 20 years so are stable, and the company employs over 50 people in their Gothenburg office (HQ) alone. They are now looking to continue to expand the development team, and keep their environment at the forefront of modern technology.
The Role:
This role is concerned with building the backend of their game – designing, developing and deploying scalable backend systems and solutions. So lots of new development, building databases and ensuring the team keeps up to date with new technologies that could improve their solutions.
As mentioned, the backend will be migrated from C++ to modern .NETCore. They use both SQL Server and MongoDB for their database solutions and Unreal 5 as the game engine. You’ll be able to get very hands-on with infrastructure and DevOps, working heavily with Docker and Kubernetes, and setting up CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development team’s experience.
As a Senior Developer, you’ll be afforded loads of freedom to work how you like, with fully remote working offered in addition to their central Gothenburg office.
