Next Ventures are currently executing a search for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling The (SAP PPDS) plays a critical role in implementing and optimizing the SAP PPDS module within our clients organization.

The role is to be Hybrid / Remote working starting immediately until the end of the year with option to extend.

EU nationals are preferred due to adhoc (partial & occasional) on site visit requirement. Client is based in Sweden.

Job Title: SAP PPDS Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Overview: As an SAP PPDS SME, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the SAP Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling module. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that SAP PPDS aligns with the organization’s business goals and objectives. Your expertise will drive process improvements, system enhancements, and best practices in production planning and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP PPDS Implementation:
  • Lead and manage SAP PPDS implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
  • Configure and customize SAP PPDS to meet the specific requirements of the organization.
• Process Optimization:
  • Analyze existing production planning and scheduling processes and recommend improvements.
  • Implement best practices in SAP PPDS to streamline production operations.
• Training and Support:
  • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively use SAP PPDS.
  • Resolve issues and troubleshoot problems related to SAP PPDS.
• Integration:
  • Collaborate with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP APO) to ensure seamless data integration and flow.
  • Integrate SAP PPDS with other relevant systems within the organization.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP PPDS configurations, processes, and enhancements.
• Testing:
  • Plan and execute testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on the latest SAP PPDS trends and updates.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and upgrades.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) as an SAP PPDS Consultant or SME.
• Strong knowledge of SAP PPDS configuration, customization, and integration.
• Expertise in production planning, scheduling, and supply chain management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Certifications:

• SAP Certified Application Associate – Production Planning & Manufacturing with SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7 (or equivalent) is a plus.
