Sales Manager

We are recruiting a Sales Manager, who will be responsible for our After Sales Managers and Business Solutions team. You will have the exciting and important mission to further develop the team, and our sales and customer activities. Your role

The Business Development team is the commercial driver of our growth. As Sales Manager you will have a combined role as manager for our After Sales Managers and Business Solutions team in Sweden, with about 10 direct reports, but you will also be responsible for your own customer portfolio. Your sales focus will mainly be our existing customers. This means develop and maintain customer relations, find new business opportunities with existing customers and work closely together with our branch managers to be the partner of choice for our clients.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Inspire, develop and support your team.
  • Be part of our Swedish Business Development management team.
  • Act as a GEODIS ambassador and live our leadership principles and values.
  • Responsible for development of the department, processes, and our service offer.
  • Responsible for your own customer portfolio.
  • Reach sales budget and manage financial results and KPIs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships.
  • Ensure compliance to our global and local sales processes and CRM.
  • Be involved in complex projects with our major customers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and make sure colleagues and customers are updated regularly about our services.
  • Initiate and organize sales activities and customer events together with the Business Development team.

As Sales Manager, you will frequently do business travels within Sweden, both to meet with customers and team members. You can be placed at any of our offices in Sweden and you will report to our National Sales Manager. This is a permanent position, starting on agreement.

Your background
We are looking for a leader who acts as an ambassador, with a genuine interest in working with people, leadership and sales. Business mindset, customer focus, and structure are key drivers in your daily work. You strive to create trust and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You have a high drive and are motivated by achieving your own and your teams’ results.

To be successful in this role, we believe that you have profound sales experience with focus on complex solution selling (B2B) with documented good results. You also have previous experience from leading and developing a team, preferably within sales. The position requires professional communication skills in English and Swedish. If you have previous experience from logistics/ freight forwarding, it is a merit. A post-secondary education within sales, logistics, or another relevant field is also a merit.
