The recently established Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) function will further accelerate SEBs deployment of advanced financial crime prevention capabilities to continuously meet regulatory expectations and to become a leader in fighting financial crime. It is an exciting time as this First line function is at the beginning of its journey, due to a re-structuring and integration of the previous teams.

FCP Investigations is part of FCP and is responsible for investigating suspicious behaviors/ transactions and SAR reporting. We are now looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist with great AML/CTF investigations knowledge and experience in quality work of PSP/Correspondent banking investigations.

This role can be based in Malmö or Stockholm.

About The Job

In your role as Quality Control Specialist will you be responsible to conduct sample check on investigations done by AML Officers and improve the quality control work within the team including for example setting up or updating existing guidelines and making sure that relevant work descriptions are in place. You will be part of the Governance & Coordination team that are responsible within FCP Investigation for the quality control work.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Setting up and/or updating quality guidelines and other necessary work instructions
  • Conducting continuous reviews of AML investigations, including narratives, dispositions, and supporting documentation related to decisions to ensure all reviewed cases meet established quality standards;
  • Providing written and verbal feedback to AML Officers;
  • Managing identified compliance gaps, issues, and risks;
  • Recommending and implementing department training needs;
  • Functioning as a subject matter expert on AML-related issues and providing mentoring as needed;
  • Preparing reports for the management;
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements to advance service quality and/or streamline functions.

Who you are?

  • An academic degree within a relevant field or other relevant experience
  • Experience in quality control work including sample checks on SARs.
  • Experience in investigating and/or conducting sample checks on PSP/Correspondent banking investigations
  • Experience in investigating and/or conducting sample checks on investigations of Large Corporates
  • Are detail oriented, driven and with a broad focus on quality.
  • Great knowledge of AML area, understanding and knowledge of regulatory expectations and industry standards in relation to AML/CTF/KYC/Sanctions regulations;
  • Good knowledge of AML monitoring processes, stakeholders, partners, IT systems;
  • Insight into money laundering red flags and typologies.
  • Excellent collaboration, tutoring and networking skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English and ability to present complex findings in a clear manner;
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • To be successful in this position you must be comfortable working independently, pragmatic and to be able to take initiatives to be able to constantly improve our quality control.

In FCP Investigations, we handle a lot of sensitive information, so high integrity is necessary for this role. The recruitment process will involve security clearance.
