Pulp and Energy, Supply and Category Management is looking for an experienced Project Procurement Manager with primary location in Sundsvall.
The Supply and Category Management Team is a global Business Line function with the responsibility to continuously ensure a competitive supply of goods and services to Valmet Pulp and Energy Projects. The team consist of more than 100 professionals globally.
In your work, primary focus will be Pulp technologies and you will be working in close cooperation with a multitude of Valmet sites depending on location and scope of project, as well as in collaboration with several internal functions such as Project Management, Machine and Process Design and Plant Engineering among others.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Act as procurement lead in assigned projects.
  • Define supply strategies, priorities, time schedules and action plans in collaboration with the project teams.
  • Ensure timely supply and cost follow-up in accordance with set plans and priorities.
  • Define and ensure implementation of long-term cost savings.
  • Global Sourcing / procurement work.
  • Contract management and negotiations, covering products scopes as well as larger installations contracts.
  • Supplier relationship management, including to develop existing supplier base in cooperation with Category Management function on requirements such as on-time delivery, quality, lead-times, innovation and cost.
  • Business input to Sales projects with cost data and strategies.
To be successful in this position you need to be result oriented and business driven. You have experience from leading stakeholders and business negotiations in an international environment. Knowledge from the Pulp and Paper industry and Mill industry experience as well as experience from similar sourcing positions in international business environments is a clear advantage. Specifically experience from leading preparations, negotiations and execution of larger installation contracts is an advantage.
You have a relevant education, preferably engineering or commercial university degree, other degrees accompanied by extensive relevant work experience can also be an option. Your business acumen and business analytical skills are essential for swift and fact-based decisions.
Your personal characteristics include strong communication and intercultural skills. You have an open and collaborative attitude, driven to deliver good results within Valmet. You are fluent in English, both written and orally. Are well accustomed working in with Office 365 and preferably experience from ERP Infor LN as these tools will be used in your daily work.
The position requires some travelling both domestically and internationally.
