Suturion AB is a medical device startup company based in Lund, Medicon Village, founded by Dr. Gabriel Börner in 2018. The company develops devices for the wound closure market. Today, the abdominal fascia is closed by the surgeon working manually with a needle driver and a suture. This is time consuming and unnecessary complications often occurs. As many as 1/3 of the patients will suffer from any type of complications related to the closure of the abdomen. Complications that may occur are incisional hernias, burst abdomen and infections.

With the technology developed by Suturion, the company strives to standardize the closure of the abdominal wall, which will save time and money for both patients and healthcare professionals. Another positive outcome is a reduction in the number of complications, which in many cases lead to a new operation.

Currently there are two products: a Suturion tool and needle and suture to use with it. There are more products within the surgical area in the pre study phase.

We are now seeking a Project Manager with technical experience to lead and drive an innovative recycling project. You will be part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team where your contributions will make a significant impact, and you will have exciting career development opportunities.

Responsibilities and Tasks
This role involves a wide range of responsibilities where you will lead an innovative project focused on the circularity of Suturion’s product. You will be responsible and play a key role in ensuring that the project stay on schedule and within budget, while also motivating your team and handling any challenges that arise. The goal of the project is to develop and validate a value chain for the recycling and reuse of plastics and metals from Suturion’s product. There are three additional organizations with which you will collaborate and indirectly lead. In addition to this project, you will also support in technical documentation and work within regulatory and quality areas.

Your tasks will include:

• Leading and managing the recycling project
• Being responsible for communication, reporting, and follow-up on the project
• Supporting regulatory and quality work
• Assisting the Mechanical Design Engineer with technical documentation

Education and Experience
You have:

• A technical university degree
• More than 1 year of experience in project management
• Documentation skills (preferably from the medical device field)
• Experience in regulatory and quality work is meriting
• Experience from working with CAD is meriting

You are fluent in English, and it is a merit if you also speak and write in Swedish or another Nordic language.

Position Details
This is a full-time position that will include some travel. You will be based at our office in Lund, but we offer a hybrid remote solution.
