About Protas

Protas is an independent not-for-profit organisation, designing and delivering large, global randomized clinical trials of treatments for common and other life-threatening diseases. Protas is led by the epidemiologist and physician, Professor Sir Martin Landray, who has over 20 years’ experience of leading large, randomized clinical trials as part of a team at Oxford University’s Nuffield Department of Population Health. Most recently, he has been co-leading the landmark RECOVERY clinical trial into treatments for COVID-19 which identified that treatment with the inexpensive steroid drug dexamethasone, improved the chances of survival for the most severe cases. We are currently recruiting for a Project Management Officer to join our Clinical Operations Team to support

About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting clinical trials project teams through the planning, execution, and closure of clinical trials. You will maintain project logs to a high standard, ensuring effective document management and playing a key role in ensuring efficient project communication and organisation. You will lead the organisation of key project governance meetings, ensuring accurate records of meetings are captured and documented in the relevant logs as well as following up with relevant action owners to ensure progress remains on track. Finally you will also be responsible for creating and maintaining PM logs ensuring project information is accurate and up to date.

About You

You will have worked within a project management office, or a similar formal project, programme, or portfolio environment, preferably within the context of clinical trials or other highly regulated environment. You will have the ability to work with project management tools and methodologies that support efficient and organised project execution.e.g. RAID logs, POAPs etc. You have strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while also ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and you are a skilled communicator who is able to work with colleagues at all levels

We are currently a primarily remote working organisation but plan to move to hybrid working in the future. We welcome applications from locations across the UK (applicants must have the right to work in the UK).

Salary – £41,200 per annum
