About the position
An AGV system is a fleet of mobile robots that automatically transport goods in a network of fixed virtual roads, designed according to the specification of the site, e.g., a warehouse. In this position, you will be the Product Owner and work close with a development team in the Agile Release Train. The team consists of software engineers, software quality assurance engineers and some other roles such as content writer and system architect. As Product Owner, you will belong to the Product Management Department consisting of one Lead Product Manager, four Product Managers and three Product Owners. The whole team reports to our Product Management Director.
As a Product Owner, you will break down features to user stories and prioritize and maintain the team’s backlog. You will help the team meet deadlines by helping with prioritization and removing hurdles. You will also accept or reject completion of user stories. It is important to align to company strategy and the vision for the entire product portfolio. Furthermore, it is critical to produce customer value, which needs to be done by balancing new feature development with software architectural work for sustainable quality and research in coming technology areas. You focus on product value while the team is responsible for getting the technical details right. You make your teamwork visible and transparent to the rest of the company.
The overall aim is to make sure that we continues to create successful products, considering business, technology, and user experience. The technology within sensors and communication evolves fast and so does the overall technique within automation and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) which makes it important that you as a part of your work keep yourself up to date about what happens within our industry.
At Kollmorgen, we have the possibility to gain knowledge and help with different areas outside of the main role. If you are interested in market analysis or patents, one of these tasks could be part of your work scope
We are looking for you
… who have experience from working as a Product Owner in an agile development team and handle the role by being structured and motivating. Your background can be either commercial or technical, but you have experience of working with embedded software. It is important that you can take on a broader perspective rather than at a deeper level of detail and thus help the team by focusing on the parts that will help them move forward.
Must have
To be successful in this role you need to have:
- Work experience as a Product Owner or equivalent
- Experience in a SAFe and/or Scrum environment
- An interest in technology used in automation.
Meritorious
It is a plus if you have experience in:
- Being the Product Owner for two teams at the same time
- Autonomous Vehicle development
- Market analysis.
