About the position
The Product Manager role at Kollmorgen requires strong software development knowledge and commercial product development interest. You’ll be part of a team with a Lead Product Manager, three Product Managers, and three Product Owners, reporting to the Product Management Director.
Your responsibilities include identifying future products by analyzing market trends, standards, legislation, and user needs to create business cases. You’ll ensure new products succeed through proper pricing and collaboration with sales and marketing. You’ll also make lifecycle decisions and communicate with stakeholders.
You’ll manage a portfolio of vehicle controllers, motor drivers, LiDAR sensors, and software solutions for vehicle automation, including Fleet Management and tool suites. Our complex products are developed by multiple teams led by different product owners.
As Product Manager you will:
- Draw insights from users, trends in the market, and direct feedback from other stakeholders to deliver data-driven business cases.
- Define go-to-market strategies for new products and features, including strategic pricing as well as marketing communication plans to give sales a kick-start upon release.
- Follow up sales and take action when needed.
- Plan for the future by considering the life cycle management, the user’s needs and the market trends.
- Collaborate with, and occasionally travel to, global customers to improve the understanding of customer needs.
We are looking for you
… who is passionate about technology and understands how to move a software solution from idea to market. In your way of working, you are structured and understand that to be successful, collaboration and communication is essential, both with internal and external stakeholders. As a person, you are curious, humble, a fast learner and self-driven!
To be successful in this role:
- Have earlier experience from working as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Project Leader. Your background can be either commercial or technical;
- Have a genuine interest in and knowledge of software development and highly technical products;
- Have previous experience from building business cases.
It is a plus in this role:
- Have previous experience from strategic pricing;
- Worked with market research and market analyses;
- Have worked with business model innovation;
- Have experience of working with the combination of software and hardware in products.
