Have you heard of Netflix and Spotify? They are SaaS companies, offering their services as subscriptions. Unlike traditional software apps, you don’t buy them; instead, you rent them.

The same goes for B2B SaaS, but it’s a bit more advanced and expensive.

B2B SaaS involves businesses selling cloud-based software to other businesses on a subscription basis. The main purpose of B2B SaaS is to solve the pain points of businesses and help them operate more efficiently and effectively.

SaaS is booming!

According to a recent McKinsey & Company report, technology industry analysts predict further growth in the software as a service market and expect to see the market for SaaS products reach nearly $200 billion by 2024.

What is the marketing internship and program about?

Together with Mälardalen University, we at Younium have initiated a program called #B2BSaaSMasterclass to raise awareness for the B2B SaaS (Tech) industry among students and to take the lead in helping higher education develop programs that better fit B2B companies in general and SaaS/Tech companies in particular. As a marketing student, you have a unique opportunity to learn from the coolest marketers who work with B2B SaaS marketing! Last year’s program was a success and now we run it for the second time!

The main focus will be on working in the marketing department at your host company, but Younium will also provide participants with inspirational sessions and some fun activities during the program.

Internship period: 4 weeks full-time week 8-11, 2024, and 4-10 weeks part-time from week 13 onwards (40-50%).

You and your host company will agree on the exact details and schedule. The internship is unpaid.

The internship will primarily be located in or close to Stockholm, but there will also be opportunities for remote work. Other cities in the Nordics could also possible, but mainly for remote work.

  • Active participation in the full program
  • Sharing your experiences on social media
  • Some interns may also be interviewed and featured in marketing materials for the program

What do we mean by host company?

This program is owned by Younium, but we are only able to take in one intern ourselves. Therefore, we have “recruited” other cool B2B SaaS companies to participate in the program. This means that when applying, you won’t know which company you will work with, other than the fact that they are in the B2B SaaS space.

About the initiator and Younium

The program is initiated by Younium’s VP of Marketing, Emelie Linheden, in cooperation with Cecilia Lindh, Associate Professor and Director of the International Marketing Program at Mälardalen University. Together, we want to bridge the gap between higher education and B2B. The program will primarily be offered to students at Mälardalen University’s course “Marknader och Affärsrelationer,” and students from other schools will be considered only if spots are available.

Younium is a B2B SaaS company that helps other SaaS companies take control of and automate their B2B subscription management process. Our customers include e.g Quinyx, Formpipe, Voyado, Superoffice, and Technia.
