Who are you?

You are the next Junior Sales Manager at Trelleborg “Marine Fenders” product area, within the “Marine and Infrastructure” business unit. You’re stepping into a dynamic role where your primary mission is to develop new business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships. You are the key to securing orders and aligning with our strategic objectives, ensuring that our products not only meet but surpass market demands and customer expectations. Tasks and responsibilities

  • Achieve Sales and Gross Profit targets and regional objectives.
  • Supervise the tender and sales process from lead generation to order fulfillment, coordinating with the design team to meet project timelines and requirements.
  • Craft compelling sales proposals, improving our competitive edge.
  • Strategically lead and improve sales margins.
  • Thoughtfully negotiate orders and contracts.
  • Work closely with design engineers, project management teams, and suppliers to ensure seamless tender phases.
  • Actively promote Trelleborg’s products and services, identifying new opportunities.
  • Stay informed about product, market developments, and trends.
  • Offer sound technical advice on Marine Systems products.
  • Build and maintain technical and commercial relationships with clients.
  • Be prepared for regular international travel as required.
  • Additional Responsibilities:

  • Translate company strategy into regional action plans.
  • Support the Project Management team as needed.
  • Provide regular sales and market insights.
  • Engage in customer service and support activities.
  • Competences:

  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Pro-active attitude with understanding of sales and marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Independence in leading tasks and resolving conflicts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of technical principles in design and production.
  • Maintain strong internal relationships and network with industry peers.
  • Understanding the difference between European cultures.
  • What do you bring?

  • A degree in Engineering or Business, preferably with a background in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Up to 7 years of experience in Sales Management or Engineering, experience in the marine sector is nice to have.
  • Proven track record to develop and maintain professional networks.
  • International experience would be a benefit.
  • Proficiency in German and/or Scandinavian languages in addition to English is appreciated.
