About us:
H2 Green Steel is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden – currently in construction phase. But this is just the beginning – our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel, and we look forward to what’s next in store for us.

Internship in our Cost Control function
Our Project Controls team is now hiring an intern to join their cost controlling team at our site in Boden. In this role, you will get the opportuinity to learn how to work with cost controlling in a EPCM Mega Project and work closely with our cost control leads who has a long international experience.
Practical information about the internship:
Period: June to December – with a possibility to prolong it 6 months to June 2025.
Working time rate: 100% – 40h a week Monday to Friday.
Place of work: H2GS Boden Site (Stålverket 20, Boden), with Possibility of remote work some days a week.
Supervisor: Anna Ferreira – Lead Project Cost Engineer.
Compensation: Depending on experience – 24 000 to 27 500 SEK / Month.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the collection and compilation of cost data.
- Assists in the review of financial data related to accruals, invoice payments, purchase orders and material deliveries and other financial data.
- Monitors project activity schedule.
- Assists in monitoring actual cost against the approved budget and forecast through preparation of Monthly Cost Report.
- Assists in developing appropriate cost to complete forecasts.
- Support the estimating process of change requests with review of quantity take-offs and unit cost analysis.
- Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- In progress towards, or already have a degree, preferably in an engineering related field.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Competency in, and effective use of, computer systems to perform job responsibilities.
- General knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control methods.
- Ability to read and understand contracts, specifications and architectural and engineering drawings and models.
- Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively.
