Our guiding principles as outlined in our logo is to Explore: Vast areas of land and water using satellite imagery and data, Detect: Environmental hazardous waste such as end of life abandoned craft, oil spills, illegal dumpsites, plastics, fishing gear and Protect: The environment by combating environmental pollution, and enhancing resilience to climate change.nn nnThrough the dissemination of information via our Geographic Information System (GIS) to government environmental agencies, marine conservation organizations, and environmental companies we can provide the following services:nnIdentification & Location: Streamlining the process of pinpointing the precise location of abandoned end of life craft and other hazardous waste, enabling swift action to be taken for removal, disposal and recycling operations thereby reducing the environmental impact and potential harm to ecosystems and communities.nnMonitoring and Management: Providing accurate and up-to-date spatial information and continuous monitoring of areas prone to environmental hazards enabling better allocation of resources for clean-up efforts, leading to cost savings and effective use of personnel and equipment.nnRegulatory Compliance and enforcement: Aid our customers through the use of our GIS to enforce regulations and ensure compliance with environmental laws related to the disposal and abandonment of craft and other maritime hazardous waste.nn nnRole DescriptionnnThis is a contract role for a Geospatial Analyst at AquaGuard Technologies. As a Geospatial Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing geospatial data, conducting geospatial intelligence, and performing imagery analysis. You will also work with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and apply analytical skills to generate valuable insights for the company. The analyst will also contribute to shaping requirements, automating processes, and ensuring compliance with legislative developments where necessary. This is a hybrid role, based in Stockholm with flexibility for some remote work.nn nnRequirementsnn tStrong knowledge of Geospatial Data, Geospatial Intelligence, and Imagery Analysisn tProficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)n tExperience of operating object detection models such as ArcGIS Pron tDemonstrated modelling & analytical skills (> 5 years)nn nnRelevant skills & Qualifications that would be beneficial for this role:nn tExperience with remote sensing technologiesn tFamiliarity with data visualization tools and deep learning modelling algorithms (CNN, YOLO)n tExcellent problem-solving & programming skills (Python)n tAbility to work independently and collaborativelyn tBachelor’s degree in computer software, Geography, GIS, Geomatics, or a related fieldnnSkillsnn tGeospatial Datan tGeospatial Intelligencen tGeomaticsn tImagery Analysisn tRemote Sensingn tGeographic Information Systems (GIS)n tInformation Systemsn tAnalytical Skillsn tProblem Solvingn tData Analyticsn
