Field Service Engineer (Sweden)

As we continue our growth trajectory at QuidelOrtho, we are now recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join our team.

About QuidelOrtho, Northern Europe.

Within the Northern Europe region our diverse commercial team, comprising of both Sales- and Field Service Engineering employees, work dynamically and creatively to deliver our customer excellence approach and deliver the best results for our customer and for the patients.

The team of 20 people work remotely, with many being field based, utilising our remote work capabilities and advances in digitalization to ensure teamwork and collaboration is still at the heart of everything we do. Our Nordics team is aligned in shaping creative solutions for our clients and partners and supporting QuidelOrtho’s success journey.

Your new role:
As a Field Service Engineer you will be focusing on our customers based in Sweden. You will be a key member of the local account service team working with the Account Manager, Lab Specialist, and Administration colleagues. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying equipment for QuidelOrtho including scheduling workload, modifications, and maintenance visits within the territory to minimize system down time and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, to meet the key performance indicators (KPI’s) set by service contracts.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain, modify, upgrade, repair and install equipment (hardware & software) for QuidelOrtho.
  • Meet all designated Customer Satisfaction goals, supporting customer retention results.
  • Respond to customer requests for service support and schedule together with the Technical Solutions Manager/Lead.
  • Train customers on their maintenance responsibilities for equipment.
  • Adhere to all governmental regulations and requirements as well as our own internal Compliance and Quality System.
  • Follow QuidelOrtho complaint handling procedures relative to complaint identification, documentation, resolution, and escalation.
  • Contribute to opportunities for control of expenditure and revenue.
  • Support sales activities.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • A degree or professional/academic qualification, in electronics, electro-mechanical is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ working experience within an equipment repair role.
  • Experience in IVDR environment is desirable.
  • Ability to speak Swedish & English fluently is an essential requirement.
  • Ability to work remotely, and independently with assistance from experienced colleagues.
  • Be a self-motivated team player, who can interact appropriately with peers, sales counterparts, and customers.
  • Be open to new technology. Ability to embrace changing technologies is essential.
  • Must be able to work with people from a wide range of areas to achieve objectives.
  • Availability to travel around assigned region (Sweden) and to other NORDIC countries (Norway & Denmark).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both writing and verbal.
  • A customer focused mindset.
  • It is desirable that applicants possess a good understanding of laboratory networks and an IT affinity in general.
