About this opportunity
We are looking for a passionate and experienced HR Director for Getinge Critical Care in Solna, Stockholm, combined with leading the HR Business Partner team across our Swedish sites.

Here at our site in Solna, we develop and produce world leading technologies within ventilation and anesthesia. This role is an exciting opportunity for you who want to take part in the continuous growth of Getinge Critical Care and also drive our HR transformation as part of the Nordics & UKI HR team.
As our new HR Director, you are offered a place in a successful company whose main purpose is to save lives. With us, you will get the opportunity to manage the overall HRBP alignment in Sweden and be a strong stakeholder in the management team of the Product Area Critical Care with sites in Stockholm and Munich. You will act as a key driver and leader in ensuring the effective development and implementation of HR strategies, policies, and processes.
What you will do
In this role, you are the voice towards the organization and own all HR processes, creating structure and clarity at both Critical Care which is a Product Area of 450 employees and in alignment with all other Swedish Getinge sites. As the Human Resources representative, you will advise and support the Management team regarding development, implementation, follow-up, and maintenance of strategic and operational HR activities. You will actively contribute to develop the people agenda for the Nordics & UKI region and on an operational level to decide on priorities and initiatives.
Day to day responsibilities will include to:
- Be a part of the local Management team at Critical Care, and work with strategic issues and global HR initiatives that need to be translated to the local context. Advice and support to the Management team concerning development, implementation, follow-up, and maintenance of strategic and operational HR activities.
- Provide leadership for the Swedish HR Business Partner team. Secure that adequate means and resources are established to maintain and develop the team and to meet the set objectives.
- Budget responsibility for the Human Resources function
- Support the organization in areas such as labor relations, work environment, leadership development, compensation & benefits, employee communications, and organizational change.
- Build quality into all aspects of HR related work, by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
- Be responsible for local people related directives and routines in local management systems.
- Ensure that regulations and local processes are known, followed, and adhered to.
This position is based in Solna, Stockholm, and you report to the Head of HR Nordics and UKI and have a dotted line to the Vice President of Critical Care. The role may include occasional travels, mostly within Sweden and Germany.
You will bring
To be successful in this position, we believe that you have the following qualifications.
- University education within relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in leading HR activities in a regional/global context
- A few years’ management experience, ideally across different sites. Developed leadership and team building skills in a matrix organization.
- Ability to analyze business requirements of an international organization and to adapt corporate HR strategies in the most relevant way
- Background in working in regulated industries and with regulatory frameworks.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, orally and written.
- Good understanding of Swedish employment law and practices as well as employee relations
- Experience in development and implementation of strategies and initiatives in relevant HR areas
- Ability to constructively challenge business decisions and to partner with management to find solutions
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills namely Excel, Word, Teams and PowerPoint.
- Effective oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
