We’re searching for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join the Finance, Risk, Compliance Data Management Office with the mission to steer and guide Group Risk, Group Finance, and Group Compliance to establish and operationalize data management and governance disciplines throughout the organization.
About the job
A Data Steward is instrumental in driving the hands-on management of the data within a Data Area and has the subject matter expertise from a business perspective for the data in scope. The Data Steward takes operational responsibility for defining, implementing, and executing data management processes, both when consuming, developing, and looking after the data in scope. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including risk, finance, compliance, IT, and operations with a focus on the data needs from other departments of the Bank. Your expertise in documenting and translating business needs into data requirements will contribute to enhancing data quality, transparency, data privacy, and regulatory compliance across the organization.
You will work with:
  • stakeholders in the form of data consumers within Finance, Risk, and Compliance to define data standards and definitions and gather, understand, harmonize and document detailed business and data requirements.
  • represent Finance, Risk and Compliance in dialogue with data producers across SEB
  • implement and operationalize data governance strategy, policies, and frameworks to ensure effective management and utilization of business data.
  • create comprehensive documentation, including requirements specifications for the data in the scope and validate data requirements to ensure they meet business needs.
  • guide and support our data areas’ data consumers with expertise in data and data management and engage in data consumption activities.
  • contribute and support with data expertise in data modeling and data requirements efforts relevant to the data area.
  • the establishment of common business and data terminology
  • other members of our data management office including data architects, data quality experts and data security specialists as well as other colleagues contributing to our business development such as business analysts, data owners and other key stakeholders.
Who we are looking for:
  • experience in data management and requirements gathering, with a track record of driving positive change and innovation.
  • knowledge and understanding of the data need essential for finance, risk and compliance functions within a banking institution.
  • ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex concepts to various stakeholders.
  • experience with an agile way of working.
