About the role

AbbVie’s focus areas are immunology, neurology, hematology, and ophthalmology. AbbVie is present in 170 countries and has approximately 50,000 employees. In their Scandinavian affiliate, they are about 250 employees with the main office in Solna / Stockholm.

As Data Engineer you will belong to the office in Solna and become a part of an international team of four. Your direct report will be to Head of Business Technology Solutions (BTS). As Data Engineer you will have a key role in the department to enable the transition to a data driven organization. Your responsibility will be to set up the foundation for the data environment on the affiliate level and ensure optimization of the data at hand. You will also work to assure that different internal stakeholders get access to the right analysis, at the right time and on the right platform. The role also includes taking an active role in defining long-term analytical strategy at local level and ensure alignment with global strategy.

Work tasks

  • Responsible for managing, maintaining, debugging and optimizing usage of existing data.
  • Work proactively to assure data quality. Review data for inconsistencies or anomalies that could affect analytical results
  • Manage implementation projects of new technology
  • Manage delivery of ad-hoc data requests or reports
  • System and process documentation
  • Oversee and ensure that all projects are compliant with local regulatory frameworks and legal requirements

We are looking for

  • A post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working with Master Data Management and managing CRM systems, with preference from a role as Data Consultant or Data Engineer
  • Experience of analyzing, designing, and improving Data processes
  • Experience in Python
  • Experience in Qlik Sense and/or Power BI
  • Professional level in English (written and spoken)

It will me meritorious if you also have …

  • Knowledge in Swedish
  • Experience of OneKey and CRM Data
